Sunday Morning Groups
Adult Sunday School
"Make me know
Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and
teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all
the day."
(Psalm 25:4-5)

New Believer’s
Class
This group study is
aligned with the needs of those new to the faith and to those
needing to revisit the basics of the faith. A study series is used
to guide discussion of topics such as: Faith, Prayer, Who is
Christ, The Holy Spirit, Witnessing to Others, How to Grow, The
Scriptures, etc. In any one class, the discussions can include a
basic description of the topic and could include personal
experiences from participants or a deeper discussion of the topic
if everyone already has a basic knowledge.
Participants have
found this class to be good for developing or redeveloping a
foundation, for initiating their growth in Christ and for personal
support through shared experiences.

Adult Topical
and Bible Studies
Different than the
New Believer’s class, one or two other classes for adults run
simultaneously. Classes are topical or they cover a section of the
Bible. Previous topics have included studies series or books by
Christian authors to studies series to address certain areas of
growth that are of interest to all Christians.
"Teach me to
do Your will, for You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on
level ground." (Psalm 143:10)
Youth Sunday School
“For you are
my hope: O Lord God, You are my confidence from my youth”
(Psalm 71:5)
We understand the
teenage years present different challenges and temptations than do
the childhood years. During this time, there are temptations and
questions that differ greatly from earlier childhood. The focus of
youth ministries at Grace Brethren Church is preparation to
confront these challenges with confidence. This confidence comes
through development of a deeper understanding of God’s Word, an
independent and group prayer life and fellowship with youth who
share a common conviction to walk closely with the Lord Jesus
Christ.
Youth Sunday
schools are broken into middle school and high school groups.
Lessons are both foundational, that is, dealing with topics
similar to our New Believers Class and topical, such as views on creationism, the
trustworthiness of the Bible, marriage, and other current issues
as they are spoken to in the Bible.
We take seriously
our role in assisting the parents of our children in the education
of our youth. Coming alongside parents, we hope to strengthen our
youth’s belief in the constant use of Scripture and prayer to
guide their current and future lives. We also hope to equip them
to make informed decisions and to remain strong in their Christian
walk and even to present it to others and, in this way, to
influence the world.
“O God, You
have taught me from my youth, and I still declare Your wondrous
deeds.” (Psalm 71:17)
Children’s Sunday School
“Permit the
children to come to me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God
belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 10:14)
Children are
invited to learn in age-based classes through Bible-centered
curriculum. Reading from the Bible is introduced at the earliest
age possible. In the younger age groups, art, crafts, drama and
story-form learning are used, whereas as the children get a bit
older, the Bible itself is used as the centerpiece of the lessons.
